Gear Up

First View for June 6

AEC’s television show “First View” has included many exciting events and organizations in the June 2009 episode. It begins with an in depth look at Mark Making, a new non-profit organization in the Chattanooga area. Their goal is to connect people to art who may not otherwise have the opportunity. The Mark Making organization goes on to tell about two of their upcoming events: The Ross Hotel Project and the Homes Project. The show then discusses Chattanooga Stand, an organization seeking input from Chattanoogans in order to shape the future of the city. This episode is then concluded with summer events at the Downtown Library and other libraries throughout the area. They are striving to spark the imaginations of all age groups through reading, writing, and many other creative outlets. All of these organizations and events kick off the beginning of an exciting summer for the Chattanooga area.
